Everything is ready for FestiValiente 2022, an event organized by the Niñas Valientes Foundation, which will take place next Saturday, October 22, from 15:00 at Parque Quinta Normal. This will aim to make visible the participation of girls in different spaces and roles in our society, along with the diversity of ways of being a girl.
The festival, whose entrance will be free for all spectators, will feature animation by María José Castro (@soyladyganga) and will include live performances by Compañia Valentin and Maida Larraín, as well as various presentations and talks, including by the founder of La Rebelión del Cuerpo and author of two books, Nerea de Ugarte; MP Emilia Schneider and the Alset Girls team, which was awarded the Climate Prize at the international event Technovation Girls Challenge, one of the five hottest technology competitions in the world.
Along with them, there will be stands and activities from different social organizations to promote their work, such as América Solidaria, Friday For Future, Mujeres Bacanas, Nuestra Cruzada, Fundación BAC, Bilij, Todo Mejora and Technovation Girls Chile.
“We are very happy to be able to hold this event for the first time, which seeks to create a space where we can share and think about how we want girls’ participation to be in the present and the future, in a society where everyone has their space. We invite all families to be part of this initiative, where we await them with all the motivation and many surprises during the day”, said the executive director of Niñas Valientes, Carla Lubetic.
