On Thursday afternoon, the youngest participated in the “School of rap for children” with the workshop “Writing with Rhythm” presented by the Ministry of Culture of the Nation through the Federal Culture Program, as part of the activities held from last Wednesday to next Sunday, October 16, at the 14th Provincial Book Fair , at the fair of Catamarca.
Boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 11, and then a group of 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders from Colegio San Pablo, were encouraged to take to the stage in the Children’s Room to compose a rap song together with individual words, which were using thinking about rhymes led by Nicolas Ferreira in charge of the workshop.
Rap School is a place for collective, playful and musical creativity for boys and girls of all ages. The boys played with words and shared ideas, which they wrote down in a notebook and then rapped the song together.
Tomorrow from 10.30 am in the Nursery is the turn of the Myths and Legends workshop, led by Graciela Piombo, who offers work on collective memory using the book Once Upon a Time in this Place as a trigger, from Books and Houses. In addition, this space will continue in the mornings and afternoons with stories, poetry, book launches, talks and workshops.
The weekend is approaching and the best plan is to plan the activities that will take place on Friday and Saturday from 9 am and on Sunday from 3 pm at the Book Fair, in addition to the opportunity to enjoy the music and dance performances that are performed simultaneously on the Humberto Jerez Main Stage at the Ponchito Festival.
On Friday at 9 the activities in the Children’s Room will start with Storytelling with Rumauri, at 10 with a reading of poems from the book “Voz del Alma” by the author Lucio Vega Melian and the plastic arts workshop related to the collection of poems from the Municipal Library Mafalda, in the town of La Puerta, Ambato. From 11:30 a.m. there will be a presentation of the story book created by students of the 6th grade of School No. 292 “Province of Tucuman” in La Merced, Paclin.
In the afternoon, from 3:00 p.m., the puppet making workshop will take place, at 4:00 p.m. there will be a story by the Catacuenta group, and from 5:00 p.m. Chincho Poroto’s Rueda Ruedita and “The Forest of Fulfilled Wishes” will be presented by Los Tortognomos. The day will end in this space with the workshop of the popular Manuel Ponferrada Library.
On Saturday from 16:00 Federico Abaca will present “We make dolls” and from 17:00 the workshop “Drawing Stories” for children and the general public will be held, led by Norberto “Polly” Bernatene with an attractive proposal to learn about the process of illustrating children’s stories. On Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m., Javier Zalazar will present “Stories with Flowers,” and on the last day at 4 p.m., a doll-making workshop will be held.
As part of the Audiovisual Cycle for the 2022 Book Fair, the feature film “The Strangest Girl in the World” will be screened on Sunday at 4:00 p.m., which tells the story of Melienne, a lonely 15-year-old girl who chooses to draw and reading instead of spending time with his classmates. But she assures that her drawings are not just drawings, but creatures that sprung from her imagination and have now taken on a life of their own.
At Animé Space on Friday the 14th, the TATETI Tournament will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. next to the Municipal Technology Center. And on Saturday and Sunday from 16:00 and 18:00, Sebastian Gershani will hold the workshop “I draw cartoons”, aimed at children from 7 to 10 years and adolescents from 11 to 14 years.
