Boys and girls aged 5 and 6 from the State of Mexico, from most Mexican municipalities, will continue to be vaccinated against Covid-19 from this Monday, 10 and until 18 October, in addition to the implementation of second dose to the 7- and 8-year-old group, Mexican authorities said.

Children under 5 and 6 years of age can receive the first dose in the municipality of residence by presenting a CURP or birth certificate, proof of address and a printed file with a QR code that can be downloaded from www.mivacuna.salud.gob.mx.

Girls and boys aged 7 and 8 going for a second dose must provide proof of the first dose.

The authorities reiterated that the vaccine is free and safe, so there is no need to stay overnight or arrive at the modules at dawn and, as much as possible, try to time your arrival so as not to expose yourself to long queues or crowds that put you at risk their health, apart from eating breakfast and if they are being treated, taking their medicines on time.

The authorities of the Ministry of Education of the State of Mexico will encourage all conditions and alternatives for minors to attend to be vaccinated, which will allow them not to be affected in their school performance.

They urged the population to continue preventive health measures, even after vaccination, such as proper use of face masks, masks and/or goggles, frequent hand washing and maintaining healthy distance.
