Boys, girls and teenagers will have their place at the 14th Provincial Book Fair, which will be held at the same time as the El Ponchito Festival, from Wednesday 12 to Sunday 16 October from 9 am at the Catamarca Fair.

Audiovisual cycle
As part of the Audiovisual Cycle for the 2022 Book Fair, on Wednesday from 12 to 4 at the Bicentennial Space, the documentary Horacio Quiroga, Storyteller will be screened, and on Sunday from 4 pm the feature film The Strangest Girl in the World, both in collaboration with Cine Móvil Catamarca.
The documentary shows a journey through the life and work of the Latin American writer Horacio Quiroga: his stories, passions and time. Developed in collaboration by children and adults – including parents and teachers – at the El Mate Film Workshop, a film school for children in Argentina.
The Strangest Girl in the World, directed by Mariano Cattaneo, tells the story of Melin, a lonely 15-year-old girl who chooses to draw and read instead of spending time with her classmates at school. But she assures that her drawings are not just drawings, but creatures that sprung from her imagination and have now taken on a life of their own.
