Boys, girls and teenagers will have their place at the 14th Provincial Book Fair

Children and adolescents will have their place in º14 Provincial book fair which will be held simultaneously with The Ponchito Festivalfrom Wednesday 12 to October 16, Sunday from 9 a.m Catamarca Fair.

Within Audiovisual cycle for Book Fair 2022on Wednesday from 12 to 16 the documentary will be screened at the Bicentennial Space “Horácio Quiroga, Storyteller”and on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. the feature film “The strangest girl in the world”both in collaboration with Catamarca mobile cinema.

The documentary shows a journey through the life and work of the Latin American writer Horacio Quiroga: his stories, passions and time. Developed jointly by children and adults – including parents and teachers – in “El Mate” Film Workshopfilm school for children in Argentina.

“The strangest girl in the world”, dir Mariano Cattaneotells the story of melien, a lonely 15-year-old girl who chooses to draw and read instead of spending time with her classmates at school. But she assures that her drawings are not just drawings, but creatures that sprung from her imagination and have now taken on a life of their own.
