Bogota, DC, October 4, 2022. Centros Crecer de Bogotá has places for children and adolescents between 6 and 17 years, 11 months, with non-psychosocial cognitive disabilities that require extensive and generalized support, or with multiple disabilities that require intermittent and limited support.

“Through the Crecer centers, opportunities are created to strengthen the basic skills of the participants, aimed at achieving visibility of their abilities in the environment, so that there is full and effective participation, which includes the use of their rights”, Cesar Bermudez, explained the deputy. – the disability director of the secretariat for social integration.

The 16 Crecer centers have the capacity to care for 1,247 children and adolescents with disabilities, to be cared for in a comprehensive way, promoting social inclusion, from the development and strengthening of their skills and abilities through play, recreational and sports activities with psychopedagogical support .

At Crecer centers we work from three lines of attention, the first focusing on improving the development of individual skills; the second promotes the development of family skills and abilities, and the third seeks to develop capacity in the environment and territory. In addition, food and transport services are provided to mobilize children and adolescents to care centers and local meetings.

Each Crecer center has interdisciplinary teams made up of special educators, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, speech therapists, nutritionists, nursing assistants, physical educators and workshop leaders. In addition to human talent support for administrative areas, food processing, general services and monitoring.

Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with 3 hours for food and transportation.
