Elizabeth II dies: the images of the love story of more than 70 years between the Queen of England and the Duke of Edinburgh

For more than 70 years, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip lived a romance that spanned dozens of historical moments.

Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday at her Balmoral residence aged 96 after a 70-year reign.

“The Queen passed away peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,” Buckingham Palace announced.

After coming to the throne in 1952, Queen Elizabeth led the longest reign in British history, marked by her strong sense of duty and determination to devote her life to the throne and her people.

The 73 years of her marriage to Prince Philip of Edinburgh, who died in 2021, left images to remember. These are some of them.
