plans that can be made in the city

In the ninth month of the year, the country celebrates the Day of Love and Friendship, which usually takes place in the calendar until the end of the third week, that is, on Saturday, September 17.

Love, so universal and inexplicable, has always mattered to the human being. For this reason, the history of the Day of Love and Friendship dates back centuries when Valentine’s Day began to be celebrated in February. But in Colombia, it moved to September for various reasons, such as the costs that are presented at the beginning of the year due to the school season. However, there are those who celebrate love in both months, as it depends on their affinity.

On the other hand, another reason that gave way to the special date in September is that there were no celebrations during the month, so it became a help for sellers and traders who take advantage of the predisposed weekend and sell details, mainly roses and chocolates.

However, over time The ways to celebrate with your partner or friends have transformed and this is the time when people look for new ideas to surprise the beings they love the most.

Colombia usually has an important holiday every month, with Halloween and Christmas soon to come, but for now the focus is on love and friendship.

Bogotá, being the capital, prepares for lovers to live a day full of experiences and passion with different plans that, although depending on the pocket of each person, can be replicated in the rest of the country. Furthermore, the important thing is that this date does not lie in materiality, but rather in building relationships with socio-affective responsibility based on respect and freedom, according to specialists in couples therapy.

In this sense, the most common plans are to go out to eat or spend an afternoon at the cinema, although there are other options for lovers, such as:

1. Yew or frog: These practices are known to a large part of the population of the capital, as well as to the rest of the citizens in Colombia. These are two games that bring the family together and bring laughter. So after you go to lunch, plans can take a new course to play frog or shuffleboard at an establishment.

2. Ecological walk: Mornings are usually an incentive to take advantage of the day, as the sun begins to rise, so groups of friends and couples can do walks or ecological tours near the capital or the natural parks that the various cities of the country have.

One of the most visited routes is the climb to Montserrat, although wetlands or other ecosystems may also be visited. For example, the Ministry of the Environment plans several environmental walks per month, and from this Saturday, September 10, there are options for bicycle walks and other actions that can be found at the following link: https://www.ambientebogota. web/sda/ecological-walks.

If what you have planned is to go to Montserrat, the schedule in which the path is activated is from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm. So people also have the opportunity to have lunch at the heights of the tourist site located at 3152 meters in the Eastern Hills.

3. Paint and create ceramics: art plays a major role in encouraging people to create, so it’s a new plan to celebrate love and friendship attend a workshop that provides guidance on creating a painting, sculpture, or learning painting techniques.

After the artistic exploration, you might consider spending a night under the stars. That is, recreate a night picnic on the roof or in some outdoor space of the home, while watching the sky and enjoying a pleasant evening, as long as the rain does not spoil the plans.

The important thing about all of the above is create an atmosphere full of love, in which, as Nobel laureate Gabriel García Márquez said, “Life is not what one has lived, but what one remembers and how one remembers it to tell it.”
