*After the 2017 earthquake, the school was damaged and uninhabitable. Therefore, since then they have been renting houses or giving lessons on land municipal authorities have no right of redemption.

The kindergarten for boys and girls “Venustiano Carranza Garza”, located in Cintalapa de Figueroa, completed the 2021-2022 school year on the street. Likewise, the 2022-2023 cycle began at the same location as its building was disabled by Civil Defense following the 2017 earthquake.

Five years after the incident, the students do not have a decent space for their studies, for this reason they hope that Andrés Manuel López Obrador will understand and resolve, as his proposal for the “New Mexican School”, not visited by the educational authorities of the state.

In this sense, María de Lourdes Conde Ruiz, head of sector 15 of pre-school education of the Valle region, announced for completing a school year despite the situation they are facing, I am proudbecause from her role she recognizes the work of supervisors, principals, teachers, administrators, as well as mothers and fathers of families, as a resilient team.

But we can’t cover ourselves with this hat, because while we continue to feel proud, where are the girls and boys? And, safety and excellence in education What?, emphasized the head of the sector.

Conde Ruiz informed the public and the authorities that for 5 years the campus has been deactivated after the Civil Protection issued a document stating that there cannot be people in this space.

The garden was built many years ago on the slopes of Cerro Tepeyac in Cintalapa.

After the earthquake, the girls and boys began to wander with the teachers: in two houses they rented, at first they were helped by the Directorate for Basic Education of the Ministry of Education and a municipal chairman, that’s how they worked in those years.

With the arrival of Covid-19 in 2022, he pointed out that they worked remotely like all schools, something useful for students. Returning personally to the schools, It turned out that this garden does not have its own space, since since the last school year they have been working in person, but on the street.

This is how the 2021-2022 academic year ended and the 2022-2023 cycle began, we have made endless efforts to the Municipal Municipal Council, the Secretary of Education and the Chief Secretary to the Government, we have a stack of documents that support the management that has been done, the head of the sector indicated.

So far, he explained, they have only found support from the head of the Department of State Preschool Education, Rosario del Carmen Rosas Rodas, who has tried to find a solution in the Ministry of Education, although it has the availability and commitment, above there are other authorities, that made her stop.

In fact, it worries and concerns us, Article 3 talks about the right to educationlike the new Mexican school, from the students to the center and inside, where inside? They have no place to work, but well, education continues, but from the street, will that be fair? Conde Ruiz said.

The head of the sector explained that for the construction of the garden they must have land that is owned by the secretariat, although it is managed by the school. second, The municipal council does not have the means to purchase land. However, they were offered places, but in other remote districts to be found, but they will not cover these families and they will be left without a place.

He added that the land near the Tepeyats district, as well as the surrounding points, are expensive and if they know it is for a school, they raise it even more, but there is no one to lend the money. However, they found another option in walking, there is a federal high school near the neighborhood that has capacity.

Therefore, they negotiated from the State Secretariat of Education with the Federal the possibility of donating space so that the Institute of Educational Physical Infrastructure of the State of Chiapas (INIFECH) could build there, but they encountered resistance.

Being in an open space and despite the fact that in school education they provide girls and boys with the tools to be autonomous, self-sufficient and make their own decisions, they are in the process, which leads to risks, accidents and problems. Added to this is the heat, noise and dust as this is not an optimal location.

On the other hand, the work done by teachers and principals in these 5 years is titanicwhich has influenced mothers and fathers not to “come back and take their daughters and sons,” although there are some exceptions and enrollment has declined.

The garden has always had 5 groups and they had a good record, but due to these circumstances it has decreased, but the parents have been with us, looking for a way to manage, we have tried not to allow anomalies, sitting rooms or marches, we have wanted to work civilized and to manage under one ton, emphasized the head of the sector.

After 5 years he said this It’s time to “air the 4 winds”, which happens for someone to turn around to see them. Especially the President of the Republic, because he is the first to promote the new Mexican school and talk about humanism and excellence, but where are they if no one takes pity on the girls and boys? who come with pleasure to receive classes.

The request they make to López Obrador is that he provide the resources to buy the land and build the garden, which unfortunately nature had no place for – in the medium and long term. But in the short term, they need a house where they can accommodate the students and work alternately, because there are small houses in the neighborhood and those who have found Civil Protection do not give them a guarantee and support in paying the rent.
