After the intensive work done by Cooperative Officer of Social Action (COAS) during more than two years of a pandemic of COVID-19in collaboration with public hospitals, the organization was launched a new campaign focusing on the care women and children receive in health centers.

“We want to invite the whole community to join our campaign “They deserve the best care,” dedicated to the care that women and children receive in public hospitals across the country,” explained Dr. Eduardo Galves, COAS Communications Advisor.

The new fundraising campaign is based on “the pressing reality of poverty and lack of opportunity that many Argentines suffer from.” Therefore, the authorities of the solidarity organization decided to focus “on the optimization of the mother-child area in public hospitals”. Thus, the “Deserve the Best Care” campaign “is based on the spirit of solidarity of our people,” he said.

The COAS clarified that the purpose of the funds to be collected is to power the women and child care areas in the community health centers. the following tools and equipment:

Regarding the donation for this new campaign, he added that donations can be made through credit and debit cards, bank transfer, check or cash or through self-service banking terminal in COAS accounts.

The mission of COAS is to generate resources for the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment for government hospitals. “We never donate money. For 46 years, we have been fulfilling our commitment, which we have made thanks to the invaluable support of companies and individual donors,” Galvez explained.

Since the beginning of its solidarity work in 1976, the organization has raised $39,980,626, as of July 2019, according to the COAS website.

Its actions are directed within the city of Buenos Aires to 32 public hospitals, but also to the SAME, the Pasteur Institute, the Nazareth Workshop and nursing schools. At the national level, we support hospitals in the AMBA region and in various provinces. COAS receives the vital input of countless people, organizations, companies and institutions that make up a true community around its project of solidarity.

“The values ​​that support our management are: transparency, responsibility, awareness of solidarity, honesty, respect, love of life and persistence in daily work,” the institution states.
